The highest intent traffic you will ever get, and it costs nothing per lead
Somebody searching for a dealership near them, right now, on a phone, is closer to buying than any other visitor you will get this month. That search resolves in a map result, and the map result is decided by things most stores have never deliberately configured.
Meanwhile the profile that decides it is usually sitting on default categories set by whoever claimed it in 2016, with hours that were last accurate before the pandemic and reviews collected entirely by accident.
Local is the cheapest ground on this site to take and the most commonly left uncontested. For a buy-here-pay-here lot it is close to the whole game, and for a group it is where rooftops quietly cannibalise each other.

What it costs
Local work is part of every tier rather than a separate product, because separating it from the rest of the program produces a well-configured profile attached to a site nothing points at.

How the work runs
- 01 Market reviewYour store, your competitors, and what search actually looks like in your market.
- 02 Keyword analysisThe terms that carry buying intent for your brands, models, locations and service drive.
- 03 On-page checksWhat your platform is doing to your inventory pages, and which of it can be changed.
- 04 Authority buildReal placements on real domains, every one delivered as a live URL you can click.
- 05 Report and refinePlain English every month. What went live, what moved, what happens next.
What the local work covers
- Profile configuration per rooftopPrimary and secondary categories, attributes, hours including the service department separately, and the description. The category alone decides which searches you are eligible for.
- Multi-location handling for groupsMaking sure your own rooftops do not compete with each other for the same terms, which is the most common self-inflicted problem in a dealer group.
- Service area configurationSet to where your buyers actually come from, not to an arbitrary radius. For a buy-here-pay-here lot this is a handful of zip codes, and getting it right matters more than anything else on the list.
- Review generation from both sidesSales floor and service drive. The service drive sees more customers than the sales floor does and almost nobody asks them, which is the fastest route to review volume you have.
- Local landing pages that are not doorwaysPages for the areas you genuinely serve, with real content about serving them. Not fifty near-identical pages with the city name swapped, which stopped working years ago and now causes harm.
- Local citations and consistencyName, address and phone consistent across the directories that still matter, because inconsistency there quietly undermines everything else.
How local results are actually decided
Local ranking is usually described as three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is whether your profile matches what was searched. Distance is how far you are from the searcher. Prominence is how well known and well regarded you appear to be.
Distance you cannot change, and it is the reason a store four miles away beats you for some searches no matter what either of you does. Accepting that saves a great deal of wasted effort.
Relevance you can change, quickly and cheaply, and most stores have never tried. It is largely category selection, attributes, and whether your site actually has content about the thing being searched. A store whose primary category is set generically will not appear for searches it would otherwise win.
Prominence is reviews, mentions and links, which is where local stops being separate from the rest of the program. A profile with forty recent reviews and a site that credible sources point at will outrank a better-located store with twelve reviews and no external signals.
Your service drive sees more customers than your sales floor and nobody ever asks them for a review.
What is different about local for a dealership
Most local businesses have one profile, one category and one kind of customer. You have at least two distinct businesses operating from one address: vehicle sales and fixed ops. They are searched differently, by different people, at different times, and they are frequently collapsed into one profile that serves neither well.
Service search is the clearest example. Someone searching for service on a specific make in your city is a high-intent, high-margin customer, and they are competing with far fewer results than a vehicle search does. Most dealer profiles are configured entirely around sales and pick up service traffic by accident.
The group problem is different again. When several of your rooftops serve overlapping areas, they compete with each other in the map results, and the winner is decided by proximity to the searcher rather than by which store you would rather have taken the call. That needs deliberate handling rather than each rooftop optimizing independently.
And review dynamics are unusually harsh here. Vehicle buyers review when something goes wrong far more readily than when it goes right, so a dealership that does not actively ask ends up with a rating that genuinely misrepresents the business. Asking, systematically, from both sales and service, fixes that faster than anything else.
Questions about this service
How much does car dealer local SEO cost?
It is part of every program on this site rather than a separate charge, so it starts at $65 a month and the realistic figure for a dealership is $235 to $575 depending on rooftops and keyword coverage. There is no separate local retainer.
How many Google Business Profiles should a dealer group have?
One per physical rooftop, and generally a separate one for a service department that has its own entrance and hours. Creating profiles for locations that do not physically exist causes problems that outlast whatever short-term gain prompted it.
Our rooftops compete with each other in the map. Can that be fixed?
Partly. Proximity to the searcher will always dominate, so you cannot fully control which rooftop appears. What you can do is differentiate them by inventory focus, service specialisation and content so each one is strongest for a distinguishable set of searches.
How do we get more reviews without breaking the rules?
Ask every customer, sales and service, without filtering by expected sentiment and without offering anything in exchange. The service drive is the largest untapped source in almost every store because nobody has ever been asked to request one there.
Do you need access to our Google Business Profile?
For changes, yes, and you grant that access directly and can revoke it at any time. It is separate from your website platform and your DMS, neither of which we have or ask for.
Does local matter for a luxury dealer selling nationally?
Much less, and we say so on that page rather than selling you a package you do not need. If your buyers fly in to collect, the effort belongs in model and specification content instead.
What makes this different from the last pitch you got
- Every link arrives as a live URLNot a summary, not a count. A list you can click. Most competitors report link building in vague totals, and it is the single clearest difference between this and the rest of your vendor inbox.
- You own the assets foreverEvery placement and every property stays yours whether you continue with us or cancel next month. Nothing is rented and nothing gets switched off when an invoice stops.
- Month to month, setup waivedNo contract, no term, no onboarding fee on any tier. If a month is not worth paying for, do not pay for it.
- No ranking guaranteesWe do not guarantee rankings and we will not pretend to. Nobody controls the results page. We commit to the work, the deliverables and the reporting, which are the parts we do control.
- Plain English reportingWhat went live, where, what moved, what happens next month. Written to be read by someone who has a store to run.
- Since 2009, and a dedicated account managerUltra SEO Solutions has served more than 15,000 clients and promoted more than 28,500 websites, at 94 percent client retention. Every tier here includes a named account manager, not a shared queue.
